There are lots of kink events, some are purely for the subject of rope bondage. This is where you will find those events though they may be marked as kink events too. After all rope’s a kink too.

WykD and Wild, or is it Wild and WykD in Turin 2018

By |2024-08-17T22:33:10+01:00October 18th, 2018|Categories: Events, Teaching, Travel|

What's WykD & Wild? This last weekend we had the great pleasure to teach in Turin, Italy with our very good friends Riccardo Wildties and Red Sabbath. The title of the workshop either... WykD & Wild or Wild and WykD. Two days in a beautiful studio in Turin where we taught and performed. There were three shows on the Saturday night (right), and two days where we looked at our styles of bondage, their similarities and differences. There were more of both than I think we guessed. Day 1 On the first day we concentrated on technique. This wasn't an exposition of all our techniques but key points of our philosophy in technique and our approaches as riggers and teachers. We discussed a lot of the why of our teaching and methods and the reasons for the things we focus on. This was a really interesting day for us and the students with lots of practical exercises which I think it's fair to say gave some challenges to the students. It's really positive to see a student willing to be challenged and to take on a that challenge to improve. We saw some real improvement and understanding during the day which is always good to see. And no, I'm not going to tell you the exercises. That stays in the workshops. If you want to know what we teach then you can book us or Riccardo for a lesson or workshop (links at the bottom). ;) The day finished with the performances, more about them to the right. Day 2 This day began with the students impressions of our performances the previous night and their thoughts on the contrasts and [...]

Bondage Expo Dallas 2018

We’ve been involved with BED right from the very beginning and have been a part of it every year since. We count the BED organisers as friends and their hospitality has lead to us having the feeling of coming home when we head to BED. I know I say that every year but we feel that every year. If there’s one thing I’d change I’d like to have more time to hang out after the event than we had this year. Sadly vacation time is limited and we had to leave the day after the event. Much tears and sad goodbyes.

A week of bondage at BeachBind 2018

By |2025-02-02T11:49:22+00:00May 4th, 2018|Categories: Events|Tags: , , |

We were very happy to be invited back to BeachBind and we were very much looking forward to it. This is really a unique event taking place over a full week at a beautiful inclusive resort in Jamaica (Hedonism II). The atmosphere and the setting are incredible and the pace of the event is just perfect.

Shibari in Brno, the Czech Republic February 2016

Well we had a wonderful time in the Czech Republic again. This time in the city of Brno. Two days of teaching rope bondage and a shibari performance night. We had a great venue in a martial arts club on the outskirts of the city where the spacious wood floored rooms provided an excellent working and performance space. Instead of a two day intensive there was a series of subject focused sessions. Thanks to everyone who came to these sessions. We had a great time teaching and I hope that we made a positive contribution to rope in Brno.

One of the things that Clover cares very much about is information on rope bottoming. This has led to the creation of The Rope Bottom Guide inspired originally for models and those new to rope to give them some reliable information to help keep them safe when starting out with rope bondage. This has been updated over the last few years and is available in multiple languages.

Yukimura Haruki Kinbaku in Copenhagen

This post is from 2012. I was really excited as you will see. This interaction with Yukimura Haruki really had an impact on us and our Kinbaku. It lead to us planning a trip to Japan to study with him further. Sadly Yukimura Sensei passed away not long after as we learned the week before we were scheduled to see him in Japan. We decided to go anyway and we had an amazing time in Tokyo, more of that in another post. This is a brief account of that first meeting though.

Shibaricon (Chicago 2011)

By |2018-07-20T21:20:33+01:00July 17th, 2012|Categories: Events|

2011 was our first time at Shibaricon so we weren't 100% sure what to expect. At one point it was touch and go if we'd even get to Chicago as Iceland's volcano had erupted and volcanic ash was in the air progressively closing airports in the UK and mainland Europe further and further south. We were listening to the news with interest as we drove south toward London, Heathrow and our flight. We stayed over the night in London with our friend Jon Murakawa who's surprising and delightful wooden house is an old and hidden treasure of London, in fact Murakawa san is one of London's lesser known treasures himself. We were sorry not to have more time with him. Heathrow was still open for international flights as we drove toward the airport. Once in the air we thought that our travel worries were over. We'd beaten the ash and airport closures out, all plain sailing right? Well plain flying anyway. Unfortunately not, we were to have another moment of worry as the pilot announced that  due to bad weather we might be diverted... happily however we weren't but were instead treated to a typically bumpy descent into O'Hare. We were quite excited to get to Chicago and the hotel. We'd come a couple of days early so we could have a day just looking round down town Chicago. Unfortunately the weather was foul and it rained a very rainy rain pretty much continuously. So on to Shibaricon itself... One of the things that I was most looking forward to was meeting people that we'd only ever spoken too on-line before. I'll say this, some of the guys we met were entitled to have egos if anyone was. They [...]
