A film by Raindance raw talent directed by Ate de Jong
Earlier this year I had an amazing experience working on a new film. This full length feature thriller features some shibari rope bondage. It was my great pleasure to be able to supply this for the movie.
The first showing of this movie was on Monday September 30th 2013
Alison and Tom are having a relatively quiet night in, until a horrific turn of events make them prisoners in their own home. Someone, somehow has let themselves into their house. The invader seems to have an intimate knowledge of the couple, using it to his advantage to psychologically – and physically – torture the pair into his submission. But there is a secret waiting to be revealed, a secret not even Tom and Alison’s twisted captor knows, and the impact will leave its mark on their lives forever.
Raindance Raw Talent is the Raindance production arm, which this year has collaborated with Mulholland Pictures and cult Dutch director Ate de Jong (Drop Dead Fred, Miami Vice). The film is being screened as a work-in-progress, pending the final cut. There will be a Q&A after the screening with Ate de Jong and Raindance founder Elliot Grove, where we will explore the new and exciting ways this film was put together: from the inspirational story behind finding the script, to launching and completing a successful crowdfunding campaign for over £10,000, to the lightning speed with which the film was shot and edited in time for the 2013 festival season.
Are you scared yet?
Blood and rope
A home invasion irrevocably changes the lives of all involved in ways neither victims nor perpetrator could have imagined.
The showing is on the Monday immediately following the London Festival of the Art of Japanese Bondage in London. It was an amazing experience being involved in a project like this and to work with so many wonderful people. I'm not going to give away anything that happens in the film. You'll just have to see it to find out.
